To the growing demand, ground parking in urban areas is unable to satisfy due to the accelerated urbanization and very limited land resources. An underground automatic parking system, as an important part of throughout transportation and traffic control, has gradually show its energy saving and space saving advantages. Other, to a large extent, the automatic parking system is widely used, but it also has many security risks. The effective management of these security issues, are emerging as a key area of research and practice today. Works aimed to analyze the safety of the underground automatic parking system from the perspectives of technology, management and law, to put forward countermeasures and suggestions.
Technical security issues
System fail and data security
The underground automatic parking equipment is composed of a series of complex mechanical equipment and computer control system. Once a failure with technical nature occurs, it may lead to paralysis of the whole system and even safety accidents. Exploitation of control vulnerabilities may lead to vehicle output damage (e.g., robot arm failure) or render old control systems obsolete. Therefore, the technical challenges to overcome are system robustness and data safety.
Reliability of Sensors and monitoring systems
